Who this is for

Individuals, families, and small-business teams under 65.

Self-employed contractors, growing families with dependents, owner-operators between plans, gig workers, and small businesses whose group plan has grown expensive or out of step with the team’s actual needs.

Operating model

A licensed agent on every file.

Coverage is sourced through state-licensed agents in every state the practice operates. The agent who reads your household profile is the agent who walks the plan document with you, completes the enrollment, and handles the renewal — no carrier call-center queue, no 1-800 handoff.

Full written disclosures are always provided before enrollment. Where a state requires a binding quote or specific producer requirements, those are surfaced on the call. The practice does not bundle coverage with a payroll or capital placement contract — each line is on its own merits.

Custom coverage on the merits — matched to the household’s actual file.

FAQ

What households ask first.

Do you handle Medicare plans?

No. The health practice is calibrated for under-65 coverage across every state. Medicare-eligible households are referred to a specialist partner for that discipline.

Are you a carrier or a broker?

Neither — the practice sources through state-licensed agents. Coverage is offered by carriers licensed in your state of residence. The agent who reads your file is on your state’s roster of licensed producers.

Do you handle subsidies and APTC?

Yes. ACA marketplace plans are walked through with subsidy capture handled, including reconciliation against your actual tax filing at year-end.

Will the same agent handle my renewal?

Yes. Continuity of ownership is the operating standard of every practice line, including health. The agent who takes the first call is the agent on the renewal.

Is there a medical questionnaire?

Some carriers and plan tiers require one. The agent walks the questionnaire requirements on the call before any enrollment — you will not be left to navigate a medical-questionnaire form on your own.

Common questions

The six households ask first.

Who does the practice source coverage for?

Under-65 individuals, families, and small-business groups of 2–50. ACA marketplace, off-marketplace, small-group, and fixed-indemnity designs are sourced through state-licensed agents. Medicare-eligible households are referred to a specialist partner for that discipline — the health practice does not write Medicare.

When does a group plan make sense vs. staying individual?

Group coverage earns its keep when a household has two or more W-2 employees with a common-law employer relationship — a sole proprietor or 1099-only setup is generally better served on individual/marketplace. The agent reads the household against the team before recommending a path, so the call goes one way or the other on its actual merits.

What are the enrollment timelines?

ACA marketplace open enrollment runs November through mid-January. Employer group plans renew on the carrier’s anniversary date, typically once a year. Qualifying life events — marriage, birth, relocation, loss of other coverage — open a 60-day special-enrollment window. Off-cycle enrollments are handled on the call by the agent.

What are the employee-count minimums for a small group?

Most carriers require at least two W-2 employees enrolled. Several require 51%+ employee participation, with carve-outs for owners and spousal waivers. Level-funded designs carry their own minimums (typically 10+ enrolled). The agent walks the call against your actual roster before recommending a structure.

How does cost-sharing actually work?

Premium is the monthly bill; deductible is what the household pays out-of-pocket before the carrier shares cost; copay and coinsurance are what the household pays after the deductible. On group plans, the employer/employee contribution split is dialed in on the read — a Section 125 cafeteria plan pairs with the design to make pre-tax contributions work. Total employee out-of-pocket is mapped on the call.

What are the cancellation terms?

Carrier contracts are month-to-month, and the practice carries no long-term commitment from the agent. Individual plans close on 30-day carrier notice. Group plans close at renewal or on termination, with COBRA administration handed off cleanly. Cancellation is owned end-to-end by the specialist on the file.
